The Delegates Dining Room at the historic and iconic United Nations Headquarters presents a unique opportunity to raise awareness of your country’s distinctive culture through its celebrated cuisine. An International Food Festival at the DDR is the perfect platform to showcase your country. With up to six festivals held annually, an International Food Festival at the DDR offers host countries the opportunity to not only showcase their authentic cuisine, but to market, promote and heighten general cultural awareness as well. A Food Festival also furthers cultural recognition in partnership with Permanent Mission to United Nations world leaders, ambassadors, delegates, staff and the general public.
Working in concert with the highly esteemed culinary team at the DDR, your country’s selected culinary team (of up to 5 chefs from the host country) will create and present mutually agreeable menus for the Delegates Dining Room luncheon, a three-to-five-course plated Chef’s Luncheon, and a Welcome Reception with passed hors d’ oeuvres, buffet stations (optional) and authentic beverages from the country. In addition to menu development and presentation, host countries also create and produce marketing materials for advance promotion, and design decor for the Delegates Dining Room.
Each Food Festival is a carefully coordinated event. The Delegates Dining Room Culinary teams work diligently to structure every aspect of the week-long event in order to offer our clientele the most authentic cultural experience possible, while representing the host countries in positive, memorable and exemplary ways.
